Do you feel hesitation to contribute to Charity due to increased scam calls, flooded fraud news around the world and more ads in social media about Charity campaigns? How can I check the credibility of charity campaigns?

I absolutely hesitate to give due to the rise in scamming. When I receive emails and phone calls from people looking for donation, I will go online and search the said charity and donate via their official site. I have done this when on the phone and asked the caller to hold while I do this or make my donation after I have ended the call.

I use charities of long standing. Like Red Cross or The Salvos or Smith Family. Cancer Council etc. And I look them up rather than click on a link.

If I was going to donate cash to a charity I will go to their website directly. I use the Australian red cross and the lord major site. I don't follow links from others and I don't donate via a third party or any go fund me platforms etc.
Really you need to have a couple of legitimate sites you know of and have bookmarked (saved/favourited) to your computer in a payguard window to know they are credible.
