We are an adventurous family of 4 (kids are 6 & 4).
We have not been overseas with our kids (thanks covid) - any recommendations for overseas adventures?

I am a seasoned traveller now, and I would highly recommend Japan and Singapore for a first overseas experience. This is because the language barrier is not too difficult to navigate, both are very safe countries and there are brilliant cultural experiences for young children that differ highly from what we have in Australia. Budget wise, Malaysia is also fantastic as the Australia dollar is strong there. If you are able to expand your budget, Scotland and Wales have stunning nature experiences and lots to see and do.

It depends if you like water or land. It also depends on the time of year.
You can hike and bike ride in so many countries. You could do the Kyoto trail, Nakasendo and also bike ride near Mt Fuji.
There is bike riding in France too.
You can ski.
You can participate in water sports in many countries. Croatia is good for adventure too.
