Where do people travel to in school holidays? Do they do caravan Parks, motels in Australia or travel overseas, which is more popular and cheapest because the costs to travel in our own Country is so expensive.

I think the cheapest holidays these days is camping, that is with a tent, you have to have a good Job that pays well, because the cost of everything has gone through the roof, i have not been on a holiday for fourteen years, and dont look like going on day anytime soon.

I think caravan parks are abit cheaper. And it depends where in Australia you want to travel too. But holidaying no matter what country you go too is expensive. The cost of living is hard on everybody. My travelling has stopped for a while due to high bills etc ....

We don't travel by choice. Yes, travel in Australia is expensive. With a family you are probably best to camp or stay at a caravan park or rental near lots of fun activities. It depends what state you live in. Twice we took our family from Perth to the Gold Coast for all the activities, 6 years apart (when our daughter was 6 and then at 12). Another trip we did when our daughter finished her year 12 exams, we flew out the day after her last exam, was to the U.K. Again, very expensive and a long flight.
