I was so impressed with Qatar. I had to have a wheelchair due to recent surgery but the staff at all airports between Brisbane, Doha and London and then for the return Paris to Doha then Brisbane were fantastic. I was with family but I was taken through customs and security without delays and given priority care. At Doha my family were able to look around and I had a personal assistant who chatted, took me to the Ladies and also provided me with water and nuts during the two hours. Some of his ground staff friends joined us when not busy with other passengers. I was just an Economy passenger but felt so special with such personal care. When I arrived back in Brisbane some of the cabin crew caught up with me as I was waiting for my bus connection to get the final 100 klms home; my family members all live in Brisbane so had collected their car and gone. The crew stayed with me until my transport arrived even though their crew bus was waiting to take them to their hotel.

As someone who values exceptional service, safety, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, I have to say that Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways stand out as unparalleled choices for post-pandemic international travel. Both airlines have consistently demonstrated their commitment to quality, ensuring passengers feel cared for and secure throughout their journey. Their attention to detail, from cleanliness and safety measures to the thoughtfulness of their cabin crews, truly sets them apart.
On a recent trip to Singapore, I was especially impressed by how well my 10-year-old son was looked after—he was made to feel like a VIP. This level of attentiveness reflects not only their professionalism but also their genuine hospitality, which makes flying with them a pleasure every time. For anyone looking to travel internationally, these airlines remain benchmarks of excellence.

Emirates has always delivered a good experience for us. Their planes are comfortable for long-haul flights and their entertainment system is fantastic.

I usually fly Etihad or Emirates enroute to European destinations as both have fantastic inflight service, plus I get to have a free layover in their hub in UAE. For a full day stopover, I go out of the airport and do whatever I want (sightseeing, dining, shopping). Depending on your connecting flight, if you have a long layover in Dubai, Emirates also provides a special service called 'Dubai Connect' which includes complimentary stay in their airport hotel, meals and shuttle.

Budgets are key with this. Viva in south America is a good option, as long as you read the fine print.
Latam has been very helpful when booked through third parties. We had issues with the company GoToGate / FlightNetwork, and LATAM helped coordinate this fix.

My favourite airline is Etihad airways. At least I know there are couple of flights available weekly. The airline didn’t stop its flights even during the pandemic so I feel confident there will be flights when I need.

Also one where the airlines have retrained their pilots well with lots of flying hours to allay safety concerns, especially around landings.

I think one with terms and conditions that are sympathetic to COVID and changing conditions around the pandemic. I can't name any that I know of who have a good policy, however I know people had trouble getting money back from Air Asia, Qatar and Qantas when COVID first hit.
