We are currently in the process of renovating a rental property we live in, with full permission to do so, we love to search to see what we can get for free to use rather than thing end up in land fill, I would love to see and hear about your DIY renovations and or organisations you have done within you home and garden.

I'm always looking on pintetest for home and garden ideas, even if it's only to keep in a folder for reference for my future home.
What I've seen recently which I'd like to try in future, is a storage shelf for a (not wide horizontally) small wall. It's one of those thin wooden shelves which runs nearly the full height of the wall, adding shelves in sections and dowels, so you can place cutting boards, platters, upright etc in it. It hardly takes up any additional space as the wall is generally unused, and it looks great.

I like to grow plants that are easy to divide or grow from cutting so then I plant them elsewhere in my garden. We aren't renovating etc as we owner built over 25 years ago with the house built to meet our specific needs then and continues to now. If I had to replace a window frame or door etc, I'd certainly got to a scrapyard to see what they had on offer. I don't like clutter in my home, so I ensure all items are useful and practical and find it makes the spaces functional and more liveable.

I love that, we are in the process of giving veggies and fruit growing a try. With the current cost of living it will definitely be a handy thing to know how to do. We love our local junk yard they have alot of renovation items and cheap aswell.
