Donations

I am wondering how many people out there would like the break down on their donations to charity. ie. how much is syphoned off for CEO's etc before it is given to the charity. I still give to Charity as they dont get much help otherwise but I know many people who simply wont as they think most of their money is going in wages. I would like to see some information advertised so people can make better choices :)

I would agree that the breakdown analysis of the donations helps to establish trust.

That is one of the things which makes it hard to trust charities. I understand that it is not fair for people to work for nothing but I do wonder how much actually gets to where it will do some good. That being said, I also still give to some charities but I also have made contacts with people in need and give them money directly.

I gave to 3 charities last financial year and now am hounded weekly with emails and phone calls asking for more. They will get nothing more from me now. I gave when I could at the time and obviously, that was not enough. They have lost out now

Transparency would be nice but probably something we’ll never see.

I think many charities could combine into one. There are so many for the one cause which adds to costs and the money not getting where it is needed. There should be an audit of a charity register where charities for the same cause are by law made to merge and stop the bureaucracy. It's as if a person starts a charity so they create a job for themselves, employ their friends and can get government handouts. People give so the money helps those in need or a worthwhile cause. I choose not to give as I find them all to be money wasters as I have outlined above. The system needs to change so those giving see more good from their donation and that it is impactful.

If governments made better choices we wouldn't need charities. Therefore make better choices on election days
