Yes, the AWL is a great organisation but, there is a much bigger picture here. Being a retired Vet nurse the biggest problem is that the pet owners need training and educating, not the pet. Too many people try to humanise their pets which results in all sorts of issues for the pet. Animals need to be allowed to live and behave like animals. If a cat is forced to stay inside in case it kills birds etc. then it will develop bad habits. Killing wildlife is part of the food chain and keeps the population in check. The AWL would have less animals to rehouse if people were more responsible. Taking on an animal is a huge responsibility and should be carefully considered before doing so.
Help Caféstudy members by responding to their questions, or ask your own in Café Chat, and you will get the chance of earning extra rewards. Caféstudy will match these and donate equally to our two chosen Australian charities.
