this x-mass think about people in need for food, so when you sit at the table loaded with food. don't dump all your food ,you can't consume, give to charities ,and thay will pass it to our poor and needy people, after all they are humans, like us

yes i agree there are so many of us in australia that take the simple things like having a meal for granted when their are so many families out there that cant afford to eat its so sad, i clean my pantry out once a month and any cans or packets that are in date i donate to the salvos along with clothes i no longer wear or i have out grown just the small things make a different.

I also donate clothes which I no longer wear. Recently I was sick and lost a lot of weight. I packed up several bags of clothes of mine and my Mother's and a friend took them to a charity for me. I also foundsome very old ones that were rather worn out (some had small holes), so I sent them to the Animal Welfare League rather than putting them in the bin. They will accept anything that doesn't have "filling" in it. They also have Op shops where the needy can buy clothes cheaply.

I agree with that. I think we have to watch how much food we throw away. Like maybe if some item is on special you could buy an additional one for the needy people. So you are making an attribute, but it doesn't like cost heaps of money.

I agree, afew months ago, a friend I was talking to about this, mentioned that her and her family help out in a soup kitchen to serve the poor for xmas - that is such a great idea - in preparation you need to have some injections and I look to go and get those done so that I can serve there.

Once it's on our table it is too late to give it away. We must learn not to waste food. We should buy only what we need, being careful not to waste it. We can give the money we save to charities who will support people, especially children who through no fault of their own are desperate, starving and dying.
