selling off our country!

I've just read where parts of Western Australia are to be sold off to Chinese interests! I thought the object of this government was to look after the country and NOT sell it off to the hightest bidder! so where does Julia Gillard stand when parts of the country she is supposed to be governing are being sold off to overseas interests!?
She is certainly not looking after Australian interests! In cases like this and also that of the Rosella company... an iconic Australian company....the government should step in and ban the sale of any Australian assets to overseas companies!
