I recently heard about an accident that was reported as minor injuries. In fact one of the passengers has severe head injuries and will probably make a good recovery. Another passenger has internal injuries and several broken bones. I don't consider them to be minor injuries.
I personally know a guy who was bashed by some lads breaking into somebody else's car. He and his friend actually walked via another section of the car park.
His mate went outside and called the Police and Ambulance. The "louts" actually rammed a stationary police car parked a short distance away, with one police officer still sitting in it and fortunately only received a few small bruises. One of the TV stations showed a clip on the News before the Police had time to notify his next-of-kin and he arrived at the hospital. They saw it on the news first but didn't release his name.
Following a fatality at a sports event the media turned up with cameras and wanted to know who it was and take photos. They approached several people trying to get information --they said they would respect the family of the deceased who were on site -- they hadn't even had time to notify other relatives.
