The Help

Oh what a wonderful piece of cinema this is.
I was transfixed throughout the whole movie. Hubby and I both had a cry and felt no shame doing so. There were also a few gems of humour scattered throughout. (Won't spoil the story for you).
The casting was perfect with obvious care given to the essence of the message being offered. The good were brave, the bad were frustratingly bad.
It was also wonderful to see Sissy Spacek and Cicely Tyson back on the big screen. They both had some amazing moments.
If you want to see a movie that has no reliance on special effects and is all about the story and good old fashioned "REAL" acting, do yourself a favour and pay the money for the ticket. This is one of the few movies I have been to of late where nobody wanted to leave their seat when the credits rolled. Gotta tell you something.
