I have recently joined the local Lions Club because all the money raised is used for needy causes. As all members are volunteers,no money raised through various activities like Fairs,Barbecues etc is used up by administration fees & other expenses occurred by professional fund raisers. It also fosters a community spirit not motivated by profits

I was a member of my local Rotaract Club which is for young people between the age of 18-30 and works under Rotary. I got so much out of it, just from being an ordinary member to taking on the leadership of President. I also got to participant in a leadership program in Birmingham and do volunteer work at a children's refuge in Thailand. It is so worth joining a service club as you will be surprised by how much it will benefit you in so many aspects of your life.
