Do you beleive that psychics exists? Or do you think they are people who are just trying to pretend to be so?

I grew up not believing in psychics. At primary school one girl kept spreading the rumour that I could read minds. I just thought she was wierd! Lately it's started again. I answer people's (sometimes strange or off) questions and they freak out, saying that they had only thought it! Now I'm freaking out thinking I'm going crazy or something. I try and steer clear of people! What's going on here? I'm very confused!
