we have sponsered a child for about 12 years, and now world vision have given us a new child who is only 4 years old. Madalitso our other boy no longer requires help. We are pensioners and if we can find the $50 a month to help a child why can not all this young things who only think of getting drunk and enjoying themselves

I think that helping someone to grow and evolve is an awesome gift ... I just wish people did this in their own back yard / country.
When you meet a person you never really understand what conditions they live under ... therefore you can not judge, as this is not our right or place. People who are physically abused, generally have bruises that show, people who are mentally abused, their bruises are very hard to find unless you know what you are looking for and the scaring and damage can last throughout their lives.
Both NZ and Aus still have cases of spouse abuse which is generally committed in front of their children ... what great role models eh? so we need you wonderful people who have compassion to look within your own countries are see where your aid (whether it's time or money) can be of use so that OUR CHILDREN grow to be happy (as this is not a crime, and is this not what we all parents want for their children?) and then maybe once we have resolved our own countries issues, we can then look to helping other countries.
Help Caféstudy members by responding to their questions, or ask your own in Café Chat, and you will get the chance of earning extra rewards. Caféstudy will match these and donate equally to our two chosen Australian charities.
