Can anyone tell me why people now hate Kevin Rudd?

Yes, he reminds me of Tim Brooke-Taylor (google if you don't know who I'm talking about).
Yes the "fair shake of the sauce bottle" thing was incredibly try-hard.
But, wasn't he the head of a whole entire party? Didn't they & even the opposition have to reach some sort of accord to enact legislation? Didn't Australia manage to miss the worst of the Global Financial Crisis? Did he personally screw up the insulation? I'm pretty sure that one was a group effort.
I just don't get why people think changing the person at the top of the pile will change the entire party's policies or the whole country somehow.

I think your opinion of Tony Abbott is wrong - he is the man wearing his lycra who participates in events that raise an amazing amount of money and should be recognised for the good he does. The media are always so critical of him, but I dont see them out doing good things. As for Julia, does she actually care about antthing but being PM. You haven't forgotten how she got the job have you? This government was not voted in by the people of this country and is only there by the "deals" she did with the Independents and Greens. If you don't want to vote for the Coalition that is your right, but please think carefully about who you want to govern this country.
