Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

Yes, all my daughters and 5 young grandchildren live interstate. I simply can't afford to visit this Christmas. My 19yo son here with me and partner of 7 years but it still won't be the same. Partner has 4 grandchildren of his own who we may see on Christmas Day but it is very much a "maybe" situation.
I really wanted to give Christmas a miss this year but the chance of having at least some children around has perked me up a bit.
I think Christmas is mostly for the kids.
