Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

Although I am a Christian and as such Christmas means a lot to me, we don't know for sure when Jesus was born. Having a definite date to celebrate each year is important to celebrate. Christmas has lost the Christian meaning of celebrating God's gift to mankind of Jesus, Saviour of the World. I think even St. Nicholas, who is said to be the forerunner for the figure of Father Christmas, Santa Claus, St. Nick etc. would be horrified at all the commercialism around the event in the twenty-first century.
