How do you feel about Christmas? Love it? Hate it?

Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

Christmas has a very special place in my heart. I rejoice in the fact that Jesus became a human being and came to show us how to love. I love the religious aspects of Christmas.
However, I do not like the way we have turned something religious into a consumer event of the year and that we have put pressure on families in doing so.
As a child in a poor family, I remember how thrilled I was to receive a tiny stocking filled with a coloring in book and crayons, some nuts and a tangerine. I think the most marvelous gift for me was the tangerine!
