Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

I love Christmas and always have. It is a feast not a holiday. The real celebration is the remembrance of the coming of Jesus. This is the only thing that makes Christmas special. We gather as family and, instead of exchanging gifts, we choose a charity to which we can give gifts as we do not lack for anything ourselves. This reminds us of the gift Jesus brought ....... a new way of looking at the law that will gift each of us and which he recognised had been lost by the Pharisees. His main message was "Do not be afraid" and it makes me sad that many believe that Christianity is a religion of fear. May the God of love bless us all abundantly this Christmas.
