Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

I have kids, so Christmas is big in our home for them. However, in the past 13 months, we've lost both my mother and my mother-in-law, so it will also be quite a sad occasion. This year we've decided to do a departure from the normal for Christmas lunch in honour of the 'Mums', as they are called - we're having a BBQ of steaks and sausages instead of the traditional roast. Before the kids, I thought Christmas had lost the shine it had when I was younger, but now I am seeing it again through the wondering eyes of my children, and it is as wonderful as I remembered. Still plan on being elsewhere when it comes to putting up (and taking down) the tree - can't stand that chore!
